The Task
Based on the success of the "Piratizer," Disney executed a three-picture deal with Digimask for it's major releases in 2008: "Enchanted," National Treasure: Book of Secrets," and finally "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian"
For this project, Disney wanted to leverage Digimask to its full potential and generate a widget that allow Users to become characters, and then to play a game to earn downloadable assets, resulting in longer usage of the widget and better exposure for the film.
The Solution
Again working with design firm Hunter/Sauleda and Atlanta-based MediaMacros, Digimask's programmers provided support and wrote new code to enable new features for the project.
Deliverables
Fully independent widget that allows users to watch as they are transformed into four different characters from the movie, with a fully independent two-level video game that users could play as different characters, earning personalized downloadables such as Narnian Military I.D.s at increasing ranks, Aim Buddy Icons, Email Buddy Signatures and Wallpaper.
Outcome
The Digimask Narnian campaign was considered a great success by Disney, and served to improve the performance and versatility of the software.
